Job description

General Purpose of Job:
The Training and Standards Manager will assist in the maintenance, development, and enhancement of our current programs and materials across Avflight's network of 22 FBO's.
Duties:
  • Ensuring compliance with established Avflight Standards
  • Preparing training and checking of instructional personnel and working with them to enhance existing and new courses and training material to a defined standard.
  • Develop and implement normal and emergency operational procedures (SOP)
  • Development of a training staff standardization and recording system
  • Participation in accident/injury investigation and reporting
  • Assisting with the ongoing improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Conducting on-site audits at all FBO locations and associated airline ground handling operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the aviation industry
  • Experience in a leadership role, such as a Trainer, Lead, Supervisor, or Management
  • Significant knowledge of Fuel Quality and Assurance (ATA 103), NFPA codes, SPCC Guidelines and requirements, General Industry OSHA regulations, and Training requirements
  • Working knowledge of Avflight Standard Operating Procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Strong safety record
  • A healthy regard for the importance of safety in the workplace
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Personable, organized, self-motivated, and has a strong work ethic
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be willing to travel frequently
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must pass background check, pre-employment drug test, have valid Driver's license with a good driving record within company standards
  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
