This role requires a high degree of ownership and initiative. You will independently frame problems, validate solutions, and deliver meaningful product improvements while partnering closely with cross-functional teams. Success depends on strong customer engagement, disciplined prioritization, and the ability to leverage AI both as a product capability and as a way to improve product development efficiency.

Responsibiliies

  • Lead customer discovery through interviews, research, data analysis, and market assessment.
  • Define value hypotheses and success metrics to ensure initiatives deliver measurable impact.
  • Prioritize initiatives across features, platform investments, and AI-driven enhancements focused on quoting and design workflows.

Roadmap Ownership & Cross-Team Alignment

  • Own roadmap outcomes and release strategies, maintaining alignment with overall portfolio goals.
  • Resolve cross-functional trade-offs related to scope, sequencing, and go-to-market readiness.
  • Partner closely with Engineering during planning and delivery phases, clarifying requirements and ensuring scope accuracy.

AI-Powered Product Capabilities

  • Identify and validate opportunities where AI improves quoting, pricing, configuration, and design workflows.
  • Partner with Engineering to ensure responsible and effective AI implementation.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Sales to articulate customer and business value.

AI-Accelerated Product Practice

  • Use AI-assisted workflows to accelerate roadmap prioritization, discovery, requirements creation, and communication.
  • Validate ideas early to reduce delivery risk and increase confidence before major investment.
  • Continuously evaluate opportunities to improve product practices and decision-making.

Customer, Stakeholder & Go-to-Market Leadership

  • Serve as the primary owner of customer insight for assigned product areas, acting as functional SME.
  • Lead stakeholder alignment across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Support, and leadership teams.
  • Partner with go-to-market teams on launch planning, enablement, and adoption.

Outcomes, Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track KPIs related to adoption, customer satisfaction, and business impact.
  • Use feedback and data to guide iteration and continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed on market and technology trends to shape future roadmap direction.

Delivery Oversight

  • Ensure backlog readiness and continuous refinement of user stories and requirements.
  • Define acceptance criteria and partner in validating delivery during sprint reviews and release testing.
  • Maintain alignment between roadmap intent, detailed requirements, and delivered capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field, and equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years in product management or equivalent role within software environments.
  • Industry: Strong background in B2B SaaS products.
  • Proven experience owning a product area end-to-end, from strategy to delivery and adoption.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure delivery consistency.
  • Strong customer-facing experience and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineering teams, challenge assumptions, and resolve trade-offs.
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools and workflows to improve productivity and decision-making.
  • Deep understanding of agile development practices and iterative product delivery discipline.

Preferences

(These are not required for consideration but will strengthen a candidate's application)

  • Experience with enterprise or large-scale SaaS platforms and complex, multi-product ecosystems.
  • Exposure to AI-driven product features, machine learning models, or intelligent automation workflows.
  • Practical experience integrating AI capabilities into quoting, pricing, or design solutions.
  • Familiarity with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote), PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), or CAD-related workflows and the Food Equipment Services (FES) industry.
  • Hands-on involvement in data-driven decision-making, analytics, and metrics-based optimization.
  • Certification in Agile, Scrum, or Product Management frameworks (e.g., CSPO, SAFe, Pragmatic Institute).
