Job description

SALARY: $19.39 to $29.08 per hour
REPORTS TO: Golf Course Superintendent
LOCATION: Electric City, WA

Summary: 
The Maintenance Technician supports the daily maintenance and conditioning of Coyote Ridge Golf Course. This seasonal role reports to the Golf Course Superintendent and receives day-to-day work assignments, training, and guidance from the Lead Maintenance Technician. The Seasonal Maintenance Technician performs routine turf and grounds tasks to help maintain safe, clean, and high-quality playing conditions. This position may be eligible for additional incentive opportunities based on role and performance.

Essential Functions:
•    Perform mowing of greens, tees, fairways, and rough as assigned
•    Assist with course set-up including cup cutting support, tee marker placement, and bunker raking
•    Operate hand-held and small turf equipment such as string trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and other tools as assigned
•    Assist with bunker maintenance, edging, and detail work to maintain course presentation standards
•    Perform divot repair, debris removal, and other routine turf care practices
•    Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and proper equipment operation guidelines
•    Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance facilities, equipment storage, and work areas
•    Support special projects and other duties as assigned to meet operational needs
 

Minimum Qualifications:
•    High school diploma or equivalent required
•    At least one year of experience performing groundskeeping and/or maintenance functions 
•    Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by operations
•    Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the company’s vehicle insurance coverage

Preferred Qualifications: 
•    Previous golf course, landscaping, or grounds maintenance experience
•    Experience working within Tribal enterprises 

Physical Demands:
•    Ability to frequently walk and/or stand for prolonged periods
•    Ability to bend, squat, stoop, reach, and climb as required
•    Ability to lift, carry, or move items up to 50 pounds
•    Ability to operate powered equipment safely and repeatedly throughout the shift
•    Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, and precipitation

Work Environment:
•    Outdoor golf course environment with exposure to seasonal weather conditions
•    Frequent exposure to equipment noise, mechanical systems, and moving machinery
•    Potential exposure to chemicals used in turf management in accordance with established procedures and regulatory guidelines
•    Work schedule may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs
