Senior Sap Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Project Manager to join our Randstad Digital client's team in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering projects in adherence to Amtrak's project management methodology. Your role involves leading, coordinating, and actively participating in various project phases, with a focus on planning, requirements, design, development, and deployment. You will also take charge of project meetings, financial reporting, status updates, and metric generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver assigned projects following Amtrak's project management methodology.
  • Lead, coordinate, and actively participate in critical project phases, including planning, requirement, design, development, and deployment.
  • Conduct weekly project cadence calls, monthly executive steering committee calls, and other project-specific meetings to ensure effective project communication and coordination.
  • Generate financial reports, project status reports, and metrics to provide clear insights into project performance.
  • Take the lead in Q-gate activities and PLMP processes and assist the service owner and senior program manager in day-to-day project execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional service owners and business owners as needed to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with project management experience in procure-to-pay business process areas and familiarity with SAP ecosystems such as S4, SAP ECC, AOD, IBP, and BTP.
  • Possess a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, which is a requirement for this role.
  • PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) certification is a plus and will be viewed favorably.
