RTM stands for Retail Territory Manager. RTMs are responsible for overseeing sales operations, managing relationships with retailers, and ensuring that products are effectively distributed within a designated geographic area. They work to maximize sales, implement marketing strategies, and analyze market trends. Their role often involves coordinating with sales teams, training staff, and visiting retail locations to ensure compliance with brand standards.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an RTM, and why are they important?

To thrive as an RTM (Release/Requirements/Test Manager), you need a solid background in software development lifecycle (SDLC), requirements gathering, and test management, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with tools like JIRA, TestRail, and release management systems, as well as relevant certifications such as ISTQB or PMP, is typically required. Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills help bridge gaps between technical teams and business objectives. These competencies are crucial for ensuring smooth project delivery, high-quality releases, and alignment with organizational goals.

What are some common challenges faced by RTM professionals, and how can they be addressed?

RTM professionals often face challenges such as navigating complex distribution networks, managing multiple stakeholder relationships, and adapting to rapidly changing market dynamics. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills to optimize routes and channels, as well as effective communication to align goals across sales, marketing, and logistics teams. Proactively leveraging data analytics and maintaining flexibility in strategy are key ways to overcome these obstacles and drive efficient market penetration.

Job description

Luna Physical Therapist Leadership Role

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to lead the day-to-day operations of Luna's Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) Care Navigation team.

In this role, you will oversee RTM care navigation operations, team performance, workflow execution, and continuous process improvement while supporting operational consistency, documentation quality, and billing readiness. Working closely with the Senior Director of Clinical Programs and Strategy, you'll partner with Clinical, Concierge, Billing, Product, and Data teams to support scalable, high-quality RTM operations.

This is a leadership role focused on operational excellence and team management rather than direct patient care. If you are passionate about developing teams, improving healthcare operations, and using data to drive performance, we'd love to hear from you.

How you will have an impact:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of Luna's RTM Care Navigation team.
  • Manage, coach, and develop RTM Care Navigation employees and contractors, including hiring support, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Establish team responsibilities, coverage expectations, quality standards, and operational accountability.
  • Manage and continuously improve RTM workflows supporting patient engagement, follow-up, monitoring, documentation, data capture, and escalation pathways.
  • Ensure operational processes align with RTM program standards, CPT requirements, and internal billing expectations.
  • Translate clinical, documentation, and billing requirements into standardized workflows and operating procedures.
  • Monitor workflow adherence and identify operational risks affecting patient experience, billing readiness, clinical follow-up, and program performance.
  • Track, analyze, and report on RTM operational KPIs, productivity, patient engagement, adherence, and program performance metrics.
  • Partner with Clinical, Concierge, Billing, Product, and Data teams to support effective RTM operations and operational reporting.
  • Support workflow optimization, SOP development, audit readiness, operational maintenance, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

What Luna can offer you:

  • Opportunity to grow with a start-up that is revolutionizing the delivery of physical therapy
  • Supportive leadership with lots of opportunity for those who wish to grow alongside of Luna
  • Full time remote position
  • Paid Time Off with holiday
  • 401K
  • Medical, dental & vision on the first of the month following start date
  • Company-paid life insurance, and much more!

What you can offer Luna:

  • Must be a Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in outpatient, home-based, orthopedic, post-acute, or rehabilitation care settings.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of management experience in clinical operations, rehabilitation operations, care coordination, or a healthcare environment.
  • Must have experience managing teams, workflows, and operational processes within a healthcare or clinical operations setting.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, documentation requirements, patient follow-up processes, and compliance standards.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using dashboards, KPIs, and operational performance metrics.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while promoting structure, consistency, accountability, and operational excellence.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM), Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), care navigation, or app-based patient engagement programs.
  • Familiarity with CPT-based workflows, healthcare billing concepts, or documentation requirements related to reimbursable clinical services.
  • Experience working with digital health platforms, app-based care delivery models, or remote patient support programs.

$85,000 - $99,000 a year Salary commensurate on experience and geographic zone.
