Job description

Responsible for managing a salesterritory representing Royal Manufacturing to divisions of National buildersand local builders.

As a Territory Manager, you will beexpected to have the knowledge and expertise with the organization's productsand services that you will present to Royal customers. The TM role requires theassessment of each customer's needs to implement solutions specificallytailored to each customer while implementing the Royal Direct Sales Model.Success in this position is demonstrated by the TM's ability to achieve and/orbeat the established revenue and gross margin targets set by theorganization. Royal Territory managers build and foster strong customerrelationships. They design strategies aimed at growing regional revenue bysatisfying customer needs and special requests while working together with thegreater sales team.

Duties andResponsibilities

 Work with Sales Leadership Team to identify, acquire and grow national builders and other key accounts within assigned geography

  • Create and maintain key target lists of key growth opportunity accounts
  • Generate revenue and profit via the sale of company branded products into the Single-Family and Multifamily home building markets.
  • Develop territory business plans per customer/opportunity  
  • Develop and foster customer relationships utilizing the Royal Direct Sales Model
  • Development of growth strategies as dictated by market conditions within assigned territory
  • Maintaining accurate records of all sales activities
  • Preparation and presentation of reports to sales leadership and TM counterparts
  • Recommending improvements to the sales process and strategies
  • Strong ability to work across internal organization reporting structure while ensuring alignment with finance, pricing, marketing, and product teams that is focused on Royal's business objectives
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of all company divisions' product line offerings.
  • Monitor industry & building trends and forecast, market shifts, competitor strategies & products and customer needs
  • Other duties as required by the business

 Qualifications

 Education:

         Bachelor's degree with an accredited institutionor equivalent work experience

 Experience:

         Minimum four years building products industryexperience in professional sales or positions of increasing responsibility

        Understanding of and successful experience in "DirectModel" sales in the construction industry

        Thorough understanding of U.S. residential buildingindustry

        Solid understanding of marketplace dynamicsincluding industry trends and assessment of key competitors' programs

        Proven capacity to communicate professionally inwritten and verbal format across a wide audience

        Proficient skills with Microsoft Office (Excel,Word, PowerPoint)

        Highly organized with strong attention todetail, while also able to manage multiple priorities

        Superior follow-up and follow-through skills

 Travel Requirements

 Traveling within territory 75% minimum
