Job Description

The Lab Analyst will support routine analytical testing within an Analytical Sciences organization as part of the Eurofins PSS team. This role performs method-based testing onsite at a client facility using client instrumentation, methods, and supplies. Daily work assignment and performance management will be provided by a Eurofins PSS supervisor, while technical feedback and data review will be provided by on-site client scientists.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Execute routine analytical assays using electrophoresis, chromatography, and compendial methods to support release, stability, or characterization testing under established procedures.
  • Perform assigned analysis types (specific test methods) with accuracy, adherence to documentation requirements, and compliance with data integrity standards.
  • Support basic troubleshooting of instrumentation and test methods and help identify root causes of routine issues.
  • Receive and manage samples, reference materials, critical reagents, and laboratory packages according to workflow requirements.
  • Provide observations and feedback to scientists regarding assay performance or method behavior.
  • Cross-train in additional analytical techniques to serve as a backup executor for selected assays.
  • Conduct all work in compliance with cGMP/GLP, safety standards, and regulatory expectations.
  • Perform routine laboratory organization and maintenance tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
  • At least 6 months of hands-on laboratory experience (academic, internship, co-op, or industry).
  • Experience or exposure to analytical techniques such as size exclusion HPLC, cation exchange HPLC, amino acid analysis, capillary electrophoresis, UV/Vis, or compendial methods (pH, osmolality, HIAC) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with laboratory informatics systems (Empower, LIMS, ELN) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent documentation practices.
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks, follow written instructions, and comply with quality and safety procedures.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Cambridge, MA are encouraged to apply.
