Route Sales Reps, or Route Sales Representatives, are professionals responsible for delivering products to clients along a designated route, managing inventory, and building customer relationships. They often represent companies that provide goods such as snacks, beverages, or other consumables to stores, restaurants, or vending machines. Their duties typically include driving a company vehicle, restocking shelves, taking orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Route Sales Reps play a key role in sales growth by maintaining existing accounts and identifying new opportunities. This job requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

What does a route sales rep do?

As a Route Sales Rep, you'll spend most of your week driving a designated route to deliver products, restock shelves, and build relationships with store managers or business owners. In addition to managing inventory and ensuring displays are attractive, you'll also be responsible for upselling products and handling order paperwork. Effective communication and customer service are key, as you'll address client needs and resolve any issues on the spot. The role requires a blend of independence, organization, and interpersonal skills, making each day dynamic and customer-focused.
