General Description

The Sanitation Staff member is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within the food manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical role in food safety and quality by following company policies, sanitation procedures, and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate has experience working with heavy-duty industrial sanitation chemicals and food processing equipment.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize food processing equipment, production areas, and other assigned areas according to the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble food processing equipment while following all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
  • Safely handle, measure, and apply heavy-duty industrial sanitation chemicals in accordance with company procedures and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Follow all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) practices when handling chemicals and performing sanitation tasks.
  • Inspect equipment during cleaning and report damaged, worn, or malfunctioning equipment to the Supervisor.
  • Work effectively with team members and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with heavy-duty or industrial sanitation chemicals required.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of chemical safety, SDS, and proper PPE usage.
  • Ability to follow detailed sanitation procedures and safety policies.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and/or loud environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to lift, bend, twist, push, and pull materials.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time.


Schedule:

Monday - Friday and some weekends

10 PM - 6:30 AM + Overtime as needed
