Job description

Roth Capital Partners, LLC is looking to add an Investment Banking Analyst to our Technology Team. Roth is a relationship-driven investment bank focused on serving growth companies and their investors. In addition to capital markets and M&A advisory services, our full-service platform provides a variety of capital markets solutions, including high impact equity research, macroeconomic perspectives, sales and trading, technical insights, derivatives strategies and corporate access. Headquartered in Newport Beach, California, Roth is a privately held, employee-owned organization and maintains offices throughout the U.S.
Investment Banking Analysts are an important part of deal teams, work closely with senior-level bankers, and are responsible for assisting in the execution of M&A and capital raising transactions for public and private companies. Our entrepreneurial culture provides Analysts with the opportunity to make significant contributions to engagements with exposure to live deals and on the job learning experience. This is a hybrid role, based in Boulder, CO.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Search, collect, consolidate, and interpret company and industry data;
  • Organize, review and analyze due diligence processes and materials;
  • Develop valuation analyses and models (projections, public comparables, precedent M&A transactions, LBO, DCF, etc.), including the use of proprietary financial models and databases to create charts, dashboards and supporting material;
  • Prepare comprehensive information packages, pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations, and marketing materials;
  • Provide administrative support to senior bankers as needed; and
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Excellent analytical skills and understanding of relevant financial and accounting principles;
  • Ability to express ideas effectively and fluently;
  • Comfortable with client interaction;
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal direction under tight deadlines and multiple priorities, while maintaining a keen attention to detail;
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and similar software applications;
  •  Fast learner, self-motivated, organized, and willing to work within a flexible, demanding, and fast paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding academic credentials with a Bachelor’s Degree in related areas of study including Business, Finance, Economics and/or Accounting.


Compensation Range: 72,000 base + annual discretionary bonus
