Job description

Our Client, a Global Financial Services Firm, is seeking a Systems Engineer in their New York, NY location.
ABOUT THE JOB:

Group COO functions are the foundations that will enable and support business efficiency, differentiation, and development. GCOO leverages on its 5 Functions to meet strategic ambitions: Information Systems, Real Estate, Sourcing, Group Data Office & Global Solution Center.
What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and management to ensure successful project execution and issue resolution, including providing Out of Hours support on an on-call rotation.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of engineering projects, performing complex development tasks and recommending solutions based on best practices.
  • Apply deep knowledge of development areas to maintain the overall health of the technology function.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve diverse technical problems, leveraging existing precedents and industry standards.
  • Support product managers by evaluating software requirements, developing and reviewing detailed specifications.
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures to enhance team efficiency.
  • Document system architectures, workflows, and procedures for team and management reference.
  • Maintain accurate system inventories.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with proven capability as a senior project member.
  • Expertise with IaaS SEG's Cisco IronPort; knowledge of Proofpoint is a plus.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Email platforms: Exchange Online/M365, Exchange 2016/2019/SE.
  • In-depth understanding of email security controls (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, Anti-Spam, Anti-Malware).
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting and command-line management.
  • Solid experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Load Balancers, ADFS, Entra ID, and SAML.
  • Skilled in managing and optimizing Windows Server 2016/2019 environments.
  • Familiarity with virtual machines, vendor appliances, and standard server engineering tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Change/Incident Management processes.
  • Exposure to company integrations during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Financial services industry experience and knowledge of Azure services/IaaS are advantageous.
