About the Role

We're looking for a Lead HSE Manager to own health, safety, and environmental compliance across our workforce housing project site. This role sits at the intersection of client relationship management and hands-on field leadership—you'll represent our safety program in high-level client meetings one day and be walking a site with a subcontractor crew the next. This is not a rotational position; it requires consistent, ongoing presence to manage relationships, documentation, and field oversight over time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support Field HSE Coordinators across multiple active sites, providing direction, mentorship, and performance oversight
  • Enforce flowdown of client HSE requirements to all site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring projectlevel programs meet or exceed client and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate and lead regular HSE meetings with clients, representing the company's safety program and performance
  • Coordinate directly with Subcontractor Safety Coordinators to align expectations, resolve gaps, and maintain consistent HSE standards across all subcontracted work
  • Participate in highlevel client meetings as the HSE subjectmatter representative
  • Maintain a visible field presence — comfortable working bootsonground with contractors, conducting site walks, audits, and direct coaching, not solely managing from an office
  • Track, organize, and maintain HSE documentation (JHAs, incident reports, training records, permits, client requirement matrices, etc.)
  • Schedule, run, and follow up on internal and external HSE meetings, ensuring action items are tracked to completion
    • Qualifications
  • Proven experience in an HSE leadership role, ideally within construction, workforce housing, or a related fieldbased industry
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and clientdriven HSE compliance programs
  • Experience managing or mentoring fieldlevel safety staff
  • Comfortable operating in both boardroom and field environments — able to shift between clientfacing meetings and active jobsite involvement
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (Docs/Sheets/Slides and Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Strong meeting management and documentation/records organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to represent the company credibly to clients and hold subcontractors accountable in the field
