Job description

A private family in Sunny Isles Beach is seeking an exceptional, career-level Nanny to support a newborn arriving in May. This is a fully staffed, well-run household with clear structure, high standards, and a calm, organized environment.

We are looking for a true professional. Someone grounded, composed, and highly experienced with newborns. The right candidate brings a steady presence, no nervous energy, and operates with quiet confidence and ease.

This role is best suited for someone who is deeply comfortable in their expertise, works seamlessly within a team, and values consistency, discretion, and excellence.

Location: Sunny Isles Beach, Florida

Position Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Rotational 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Day) 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night)

Start Date: May 10, 2026

Reports To: Principal (day-to-day direction); coordinates with House Manager on logistics

Language: English required; Spanish, Italian, or Farsi strongly preferred

Core Responsibilities

Newborn Care & Development

  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care throughout the day
  • Maintain calm, consistent routines and smooth transitions
  • Support feeding, sleep, and early developmental milestones
  • Engage in simple, enriching activities (reading, sensory play, outdoor time)
  • Foster a peaceful, regulated environment for the child

Team Coordination

  • Execute clean, efficient handoffs with the Night Nurse (verbal + written updates)
  • Maintain accurate daily logs (feeding, sleep, mood, milestones)
  • Operate as part of a cohesive, respectful formal household team

Organization & Standards

  • Maintain order and cleanliness in all child-related areas
  • Manage baby items, wardrobe, and supplies with care and attention to detail
  • Handle children’s laundry (including delicate items)
  • Travel with the family as needed

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of private household experience, with strong newborn expertise
  • Prior experience in structured, fully staffed homes preferred
  • Deeply calm, steady, and emotionally regulated presence
  • No nervous energy, no over-talking, no chaos
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
  • Strong communicator who respects systems and boundaries
  • Discreet, polished, and professional at all times
