Rotational Nanny · Mountain House and Tracy area · $30 to $35 per hour DOE

The Nanny Tribe is a boutique nanny placement agency serving San Francisco and the Bay Area. We are recruiting on behalf of a family in the Mountain House and Tracy area for a rotational, live-out nanny.


The schedule

Seven days on, seven days off. Shifts run 9:00am to 5:00pm, fourteen to sixteen shifts each month, with 40 hours guaranteed every two weeks. Occasionally an eighth day is requested to cover the parents' own work rotations, always with notice.

True rotational schedules are rare in this part of California, particularly live-out. If you have been looking for professional work that leaves a full week free every other week, this is that role.


The position

You are the lead caregiver for one baby boy, nine months old at the start date. You partner with his grandmother, who is present through each shift for play, adventures, and time with her grandson. She supports the day and you run it.

Responsibilities cover his full daily care: feeding, naps, routine, meal preparation, his laundry, bottles and dishes, keeping his spaces organised, daily walks, and play that supports his development. No driving, no household management.


The family

Both parents built careers that ask a great deal of them, and they built them well. Now they are building a family and approaching it with the same intention. They are seeking a long-term commitment of two years and beyond, and a move closer to San Ramon or Livermore is a possibility in the future.


Compensation and benefits

  • $30 to $35 per hour, commensurate with experience
  • Annual range of $40,320 to $53,760 based on shift volume
  • 40 hours guaranteed every two weeks
  • W-2 payroll through a professional payroll service
  • Overtime paid under California law
  • Paid sick time
  • Paid holidays when a shift falls on one


Requirements

  • Two or more years of professional nanny experience
  • Available for a live-out seven-on, seven-off rotation including weekends
  • Current hands-on CPR certification
  • Current flu, Tdap, and TB clearance
  • Reliable transportation to the Mountain House and Tracy area
  • Able to lift and carry 30 to 40 pounds throughout the day
  • Non-smoker
  • Clean background check and verifiable professional references
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Fluent in English. Punjabi is useful but not required


Start date: 6 September 2026, with a paid trial beforehand.
