About Us
From Hooper Hospitality Concepts, Night Rooster is set to debut in the Dallas Design District this Fall as an elevated Chinese restaurant and lounge. Focusing on Classic Chinese cuisine, the menu is created by Culinary Director Shirley Chung and will focus on creating an upscale traditional Chinese dining experience using Texas sourced ingredients. Night Rooster will feature a cocktail program with a heavy emphasis on Asian whiskeys, International Wines, and Sake with an abundance of house made mixers and infusions. The interior is modern-Asian inspired, with a dark and moody 'Orient Express' atmosphere, with the exteriors contrasted with wood and Iron Ore brick.
Position Summary
Our host is the first person our guests see and interact with, so it is the primary responsibility of the host person to greet guests in a courteous, timely and professional manner while ensuring his/her area remains clean, organized and properly stocked at all times. The host person is to assist the food servers, bus persons, and food runners as it relates to guest contact and table information.
What we are looking for:
  • Greet guests with a welcoming smile and professional manner and assist guests to their table
  • Maintain knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups.
  • Clear & concise knowledge of the reservation operating system. Keeping an accurate count of reservations and managing the reservation book. Communicate special reservation requests regarding allergies, special occasions, etc. responsible for conveying all such information to management and appropriate staff.
  • Answering phones, answering guest inquiries, taking guest reservations, knowledge of room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code.
  • Ensure menus are currently updated according to the most recent changes. Clean and replace any damaged inserts or menu covers.
  • Frequently check back with guests who are waiting to be seated; make it evident to guests that they have not been forgotten and that tables are being prepared for them
  • Maintain a clean and organized host area
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested
  • Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings
  • All other duties assigned.
Ideal Candidate:

  • Prior host experience in fine dining is preferred
  • Candidate must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Candidate must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be a team player and have a positive attitude
  • Candidate must exhibit excellent guest service, communication and multitasking skills
  • Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule, must be able to work weekends, and holidays
