Job description

The Twenty Two is a luxury lifestyle hotel based in London. Our newest property, set within the former Margaret Louisa Home in New York City’s Union Square, offers an all-day public restaurant and a private members’ club.

We are looking for an Assistant Room Service Manager to join our New York City team. If you have strong knowledge of in-room dining standards and have led + developed a team successfully, we would love to meet you.

Overview:
The Assistant Room Service Manager supports the daily operations of the room service team, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient operations, and adherence to hotel standards. This role also assists with oversight of the staff cafeteria and daily operational support.

General Responsibilities:

  • Supports the management and coordination of the room service team.
  • Assists with preparing and maintaining schedules for the room service team.
  • Ensures all room service orders are taken accurately and delivered promptly, professionally, and according to hotel standards.
  • Supports the daily flow, maintenance, and SOPs associated with the staff cafeteria.
  • Collaborates with the Director of F&B and Executive Chef to ensure the cafeteria is maintained to company standards.
  • Maintains high levels of cleanliness, organization, and presentation in service areas and pantries.
  • Trains, coaches, and supports team members to ensure exceptional service and adherence to service standards.
  • Monitors inventory levels and assists with requisitioning supplies to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Handles guest concerns and feedback promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Liaises with the kitchen and other departments to ensure seamless service and fulfillment of special requests.
  • Assists with daily reporting, administrative duties, and operational follow-up as required.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Experience Required:

  • Experience as a Head Butler, IRD Manager, or other relevant supervisory/managerial position in fine dining, a luxury hotel or private home environment.
