PW Front Services Ambassador


Primary Responsibilities:
As an integral part of a team, Front Service Ambassador is responsible for continuously looking for ways to improve each guest’s experience from providing exceptional guest service to transporting guest luggage to/from guest rooms, escorting guests to rooms, and informing guests of all hotel services and features. Responsible for attending to immediate needs of each guest upon arrival and follow through attention throughout stay. Assist Guest and Patrons with vehicle assistance; valet services and responsible to keep the Porte Cochere area clean, safe and traffic flow. Thorough knowledge of all hotel services and amenities.


Essential Duties:

  1. Greet and acknowledge all arriving/departing guests

  2. Monitor and Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas

  3. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time day

  4. Maintain positive guest relations and offer services at all times

  5. Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

  6. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.

  7. Escort guest from the Porte Cochere to the Front Desk or Lobby Greeter

  8. Transport guest luggage from the point of arrival to assigned room or where services needed

  9. Assist in locating guest's lost luggage and correctly tag and store guest luggage

Valet Services: 

1. Inspect vehicles for damages; inform guest and mark valet tag accordingly 

2. Load/unload guests’ personal belongings

3. Park vehicle in designated area or valet stalls and secure keys

4. Obey all traffic and driving regulations.

 

In Room Service: 

1. Identify fire exit closest to guest's room and explain safety features of assigned room.

2. Identify and explain guest room features to include use of:

a. air conditioning controls

b. roller shade and blind, bathroom amenities 

c. telephone, television, clock radio

d. guest services directory, refrigerator, in room safe

e. valet/laundry services, door lock, ice 

3. Deliver items to guest rooms or appropriate dept. promptly to include:

4. Messages, mail, faxes, packages, flowers and Sundry items

5. Monitor and maintain appearance of Porte Cochere, lobby area and luggage holding room.

6. Maintain cleanliness of carts.


Other Duties:
 

1. Follow all company policies and procedures

2. Assist during the overnight shift Room Service Orders 

3. Must be highly organized, detail-oriented

4. Assist in emergency situations with maturity and professionalism

5. Perform all other duties as may be required or assigned
Working Conditions:

1. Exposure to variable noise levels and weather conditions

2. Exposure to variable temperatures, weather conditions and variable noise levels

3. Ability to stand/walk/run for at least 8 hours throughout work shift


Work Hours:

1. Schedule will be based on operational needs

2. 24 hour hotel business

3. Flexible availability 


Equipment Use: 

1. Ability to utilize the following systems: Opera Microsoft Office and systems utilized in Front Office area


Mental and Physical Demands:

1. Must be able to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.

2. Ability to lift items up to _50__ lbs.

 

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  1. Must be proficient in English (oral and written) to effectively perform job functions
  2. Abstract (2 years no moving violation), Minimum __1___ year experience driving vehicles
  3. Drive all types of vehicles including standard
  4. Prefer 1 year customer service experience


Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.  Must speak, read, write, and understand the primary language (English) used in the workplace.  Must be able to speak and understand the primary language used by the guests who visit the hotel.
