Summary of Job Duties:
The Room Service Ambassador is responsible for assisting patients with menu selections, and ensuring the patients receive meals and nourishments in accordance with physician prescribed diets, food allergies, and preferences. The Room Service Ambassador provides excellent customer service to ensure the department's goals are met.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
  • High School diploma/GED plus computer.
  • Basic keyboard skills and telephone etiquette skills.

Preferred:
  • Experience in a food service, customer services or patient care setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides an excellent customer service experience when the patients are making menu selections.
  • Take food orders over the phone.
  • Make selections into the electronic meal selection, and updating and recording patient information.
  • Corrects menu choices based on meal patterns, allergies and patient preferences.
  • Trouble-shoots issues at the point of service affecting patient satisfaction with the food service.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
