What You'll Do
  • Promote safe work environments through example; good housekeeping & effective safety meetings
  • Communicate important shift information, production issues, concerns and needs with proper personnel
  • Attend required meetings
  • Operate roll Lathe (CNC controls)
  • Perform routine maintenance on mill lathe and related equipment
  • Use of precision measuring equipment
  • Ability to identify and or correct minor problems with lathe and related equipment
  • Proper use of ring and race heater
  • Open, close, and create roll turning work orders in QMOS
  • Extensive knowledge of QMOS as it relates to mill services and scheduling (A class)
  • Assist in roll purchases requirements (A class)
  • Schedule dressing of new rolls as inventory requirements dictate (A class)
What You'll Need
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work rotating shifts which include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Some overtime will be required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to learn quickly and multitask
  • Ability to work in extreme heat

  • High School Diploma or GED required
