Rogers Motors in Lewiston Idaho has a full-time opening for Automotive Service Advisor at our Dodge dealership. What You’ll Do ????

As an Automotive Service Advisor, you'll be the trusted connection between our customers and our service team, helping ensure every customer leaves with a safe, reliable vehicle. You'll greet customers, listen to their concerns, recommend appropriate maintenance and repairs, prepare estimates and repair orders, verify warranty and service contract coverage, perform vehicle walk-around inspections, and keep customers informed throughout the service process. The ideal candidate has previous automotive dealership or customer service experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing an outstanding customer experience.

Your day may include:

  • Greeting customers in a timely, friendly manner.
  • Scheduling appointments with customers.
  • Maintaining Customer Satisfaction Index rating.
  • Maintaining a dealership-prescribed standard for hours per customer repair order written and effective labor rate.
  • Ensure all open repair orders or work in process be kept up to date and closed within 30 days.
  • Ensure all documentation is provided on the repair orders for warranty purposes.
  • Accomplish the forecast that has been established by the general manager and service manager.
  • Making every effort to ensure that technicians completely repair all vehicles on the first visit.
  • Maintaining follow-up on additional items found in need of repair.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate with technicians, customers, and management.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations would be great.
  • Dealertrack DMS knowledge helpful.
  • Experience with industry-specific software is always nice.
  • Two years of experience in a dealership position preferred.

A Few Things to Know

The Service Advisor works in the service area, which is in an open area of the showroom. Advisors work with service customers for most of the shift. Evenings, some holidays and weekend work hours are required. Applicants must pass a background check and drug screening.
