The Westover Companies is a family-owned and operated property management company. We are located in King of Prussia area and have operated for over fifty years with the purpose of providing quality living, shopping and working space for residents and customers.
The Maintenance Technician supports one or multiple apartment properties maintaining routine service requests as well as preventative maintenance. He/she will be responsible for completing this work safely and timely to provide our residents with superior customer service. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician for our apartment community in Newark, DE.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Exhibiting strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer
  • Communicating and working well with both leasing and maintenance staff members
  • Always representing the company in a professional and courteous manner
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, service requests, turnovers, preventative maintenance to units and common areas as well as any other duties assigned
  • Sharing on-call responsibility
  • Diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical and plumbing related issues
  • Providing own (basic) hand tools
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Attending in-house training as required
  • Maintaining current preventative maintenance property logs

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Demonstrate the appropriate and safe use of standard hand and power tools
  • Lifting and moving heavy items (water heaters, appliances, rock salt, etc.)
  • Be able to shovel and salt as required
  • Perform routine, preventative maintenance
  • Knowledge and practice of a variety of building trade skills
  • Be able to work on step/extension ladders and roofs while following safety protocols
  • Able and willing to lift objects as required
  • Keep track of inventory and maintain a clean and stocked shop
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner
  • Identify safety and hazardous conditions and communicate any issues
  • Follow company operational and safety procedures
  • Ability to work an on-call schedule as required
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and understand and follow Westover Companies core values
  • Reliable work ethic and dependable transportation; must maintain valid driver's license and working vehicle
