Sr. RPA Developer

About the Job

The Georgia Department of Human Services, Office of Information Technology (OIT), is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior RPA Developer and technical lead to join the agency based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Local to Atlanta for in-person meetings.

As part of the RPA team, this individual will lead the design, development, and implementation of UiPath automation solutions while mentoring a team of developers and ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards. You will work closely with architects, Sr. developers, managers, executives, and other groups throughout the development process.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in UiPath and broader software development with strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. You will be responsible for delivering innovative, scalable, and secure RPA solutions that meet business needs across the agency.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable RPA solutions using UiPath for complex, enterprise-level applications.
  • Lead end-to-end automation lifecycle: requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Provide architectural direction and technical leadership to the RPA development team.
  • Guide the team in adopting best practices in RPA design, development, and deployment.
  • Mentor and support junior RPA developers; review code and ensure quality and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, senior developers, business analysts, and executive stakeholders.
  • Analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities; recommend tools and strategies to optimize efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs and operational procedures.
  • Implement DevOps practices for RPA projects, including CI/CD, automated testing, and version control using tools such as GitHub.
  • Oversee Orchestrator setup, configuration, and bot administration.
  • Continuously assess and improve RPA performance and scalability; monitor KPIs and ensure SLAs are met.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and risk mitigation are integrated into automation solutions.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and evolving RPA technologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication through team and client meetings, ensuring alignment and understanding of project objectives and progress.
Minimum Qualification & Preferred Skill Set
  • Bachelors degree in computer science/engineering.
  • 15+ years of IT experience with a strong background in software engineering.
  • Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience developing large enterprise-grade RPA solutions.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a lead RPA developer or technical lead on large-scale projects.
  • Deep understanding of RPA best practices, development frameworks, and design patterns.
  • Strong expertise in API development, integration, web services, data exchange methods, and writing complex SQL queries.
  • Expertise in UiPath Orchestrator setup, configuration, and administration.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, VB.Net, Python, or Java.
  • Knowledge and experience with AWS and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Background in full SDLC, including iterative development, prototyping, and source control.
  • Experience with modern UI/UX frameworks and enterprise application integration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and passionate about automation and digital transformation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines efficiently.
