The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent organizational skills, a deep understanding of construction management, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. The ideal candidate should also have the experience and knowledge to recognize different types of equipment required, taking into consideration capacities and limitations.

Responsibilities
โ€ข Assist Project Manager, Project Superintendent and Project Engineer as required,
โ€ข Perform field engineering and design of temporary structures including formwork, false work, lift plans, trestles, sheet piling and shoring as required
โ€ข Assist in all schedule preparations & updates, identify critical work items, prepare list of long-lead items
โ€ข Coordinate survey crew activities
โ€ข Responsible for quantity tracking/reporting and assist in project costing & forecasting
โ€ข Prepare requisitions for equipment and material for approval by Project Engineer.
โ€ข Coordinate inspections of material deliveries to ensure compliance with purchase order and shop drawings.
โ€ข Resolve field problems and conflicts, liaise with subcontractors, suppliers & own workforce on field details.
โ€ข Notify the Project Engineer of potential costs impacts due to field problems or conflicts in the plans.
โ€ข Assists in the preparation of RFI's.
โ€ข Assists with the documentation of time & material work and other extra work activities.
โ€ข Project Documentation: Keep a daily diary of project progress; take project photos on a regular basis.
โ€ข Assist project close out
โ€ข Additional responsibilities as required per the project needs.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
โ€ข 4-year degrees in engineering / construction management or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience and a minimum of 4 years similar construction engineering and/or surveying experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
โ€ข Excellent management and supervisory skills.
โ€ข Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
โ€ข Proficient in database and project controls computer application systems, MS Excel, MS Word
โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
