Job description

As a Registered Nurse - SDS/ENDO you will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the provider's medical orders; to assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient his/her family, health professionals and important others; to perform related duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: 20 hrs weekly / 0.5 FTE; Monday-Friday day/eve hours on call requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or equivalent.

  • Licensed as a RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Boarder State Registry

  • Current BLS - American Hart Association or BLS - American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)

  • ACLS certification required from AHA within 6 months of start date if not present at hire.

  • Minimum of one year (2080 hours) current RN SDS and/or surgery center experience in Pre & Post Op required.

  • Minimum of one year (2080 hours) current RN Endo experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate or Master's degree in Nursing

  • Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program

  • Specialty Certification in the RN's area of expertise (e.g. CCRN, PCCN, CNOR, CPAN, CAPA, etc)
