Med Tech Job Summary:

We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Med Tech ALF to join our team at River Bend Health and Rehabilitation. As a Med Tech in an assisted living facility, you'll be responsible for performing various medical procedures, taking vital signs, and administering medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment will make you a valuable asset to our team.

Med Tech Responsibilities:

• Perform various medical procedures, such as catheter care, wound care, and bladder scan
• Take vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Administer medications as ordered by physicians or licensed nurses
• Assist with morning and evening care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and report changes in resident's condition to licensed nurses
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident's care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal resident care

Med Tech Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a Med Tech ALF or related field
• High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited Med Tech program or college-level coursework in a related field preferred
• Current certification as a Med Tech (MTE) or Nurse Assistant (CNA) required
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing resident needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents with ease
