Job description

This job might be for you if:

· You have a knowledge and skills in loading a fuel tanker at a bulk fuel facility.

· You have a knowledge and skills in refilling the tanker truck at the end of each day

· You understand the importance of Safety as it pertains to OSHA and other DOT regulators.

Things you will be responsible for:

1. Communication – Be proficient in all means of communication.

2. Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through ensuring a knowledge and understanding of all.

3. Safety – Stay aware of and follow all pertinent OSHA requirements, perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspection of rig to ensure safe operations, and abide by all safety regulations including those set forth by our Homeland Security Plan and Hazmat Emergency Response Procedures.

4. Inventory – Ensures to maintain accurate accounting of truck inventory to include recording all mileage and record of dispensed fuel. Will provide all fuel accounting documentation to the logistics manager.

To land this awesome opportunity we ask for 3 years’ experience in truck driving. In addition, we just ask that you complete our required training program, be Hazmat/Tanker Certified, and possess your Class A CDL. Hand-Eye Coordination: Fuel drivers have to operate a fuel truck, and might need to look for addresses at the same time. Good Vision: Fuel drivers need to be able to see addresses on buildings, and good vision will be necessary if they are badly lit or small. Must have a valid insurance and a great driving record.

The Physical Demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position sedentary as the driver will be in the truck except for when loading and unloading fuel. Also required to pull and pick up fuel hoses (up to 75 pounds), required to walk, bend, reach, push and squat as needed. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
