River Run is a shared services organization that supports banking affiliates, Newburyport Bank, Pentucket Bank and Rollstone Bank & Trust.


Job Summary

The Senior Credit Officer provides oversight and reporting in support of the company’s credit activities and serves as a Bank Credit Signer for an affiliated bank. This role also prepares and distributes asset quality reports to management and the Boards for all River Run banks. Report responsibilities include preparing monthly and quarterly asset quality reports for senior management and the board, producing credit information in support of the company’s CECL loss reserve calculations and coordinating internally for reports necessary to monitor and measure organizational risk.

Requirements:

Essential Job Functions

  • Attend lender and PM meetings and remain involved with commercial pipeline activity
  • Produce and distribute asset quality reports to senior management and the Board
  • Present risk management findings and conclusions to the Board Joint Risk Committee, or other groups as requested
  • Assist with managing the company’s commercial appraisal and environmental programs
  • Answer questions and provide guidance to lending staff as Bank Credit Signor for an affiliated bank relative to loan policy, loan structuring and other matters
  • Contribute to the ongoing design and enhancement of the company’s commercial loan origination system
  • Provide back up coverage for the Chief Credit Risk Officer and the Commercial Credit Review and Analysis manager when needed
  • Performs additional duties, as directed by management.

Qualifications, Experience, and Education

  • 5 years of commercial credit, lending or portfolio management experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of real estate and C&I commercial credit underwriting requirements
  • Strength at transferring data into representative graphic and summary information
  • Organizational skills and experience
  • Professional presentation skills and strong interpersonal skills
