About the Role:

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) aims to provide a comprehensive, cross-functional perspective on risks, ensuring their effective prioritization and management in alignment with the Company’s strategic goals. The Sr. Enterprise Risk Officer will play a key role in leading the organization’s risk management initiatives. They will drive the enhancement of risk management practices and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement comprehensive risk mitigation strategies. The Sr. Enterprise Risk Officer will foster communication and collaboration across the Company and guide stakeholders in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating risks. Additionally, they will offer independent and objective feedback to ensure the effectiveness and robustness of risk management practices. Lead and support initiatives aimed at enhancing risk management practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk mitigation strategies. Engage with stakeholders across the Company to provide critical insights into key risks. Facilitate communication and collaboration across the Company to ensure effective risk management. Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders on the identification, assessment, management and mitigation of risks within the Company. Provide independent and objective challenge to ensure the effectiveness of risk management practices. Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training. Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description. May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words. Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate. Embraces our vision to become "Business Bank of Choice" May perform other duties as assigned.

About You:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, or other applicable discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Required 5+ - of banking, risk management, compliance, finance, or IT/Ops experience (Required).
  • Expert knowledge of tools and techniques employed in risk identification, risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of operational and enterprise risk management concepts, best practices, and regulatory guidance.
  • Demonstrate ability to independently manage multiple and complex work efforts, which involves directing other key stakeholders across the bank.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills, critical thinking, and analytical skillset.
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of different audiences.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft PowerBI and knowledge of GRC systems helpful.

Travel Requirements Occasional

The pay range for this role is $78,000.00 - $135,000.00. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
