Join our Finance Team at Ashley Furniture as a Risk Manager! Our large in-house finance team works daily to take our multi-billion-dollar business to the next level.
The Risk Manager will support the corporate risk and insurance program by implementing risk management strategies, managing insurance programs, and analyzing potential exposures across the organization. This position will work with various lines of coverage including auto liability, general liability, workers' compensation, commercial property, stock throughput, and cyber insurance.
What Will You Do?
Risk Analysis & Strategy Support
  • Research and evaluate current trends in risk management and loss control utilizing industry-recognized standards and best practices
  • Identify and analyze potential risk factors and exposures for current and potential new business
  • Provide recommendations to mitigate organizational risks
  • Support the development of risk management strategies in partnership with internal stakeholders and brokers

Insurance Program Support
  • Assist in managing property and casualty insurance programs
  • Support cost/benefit analysis of program alternatives
  • Help evaluate adequacy of coverage limits and appropriateness of retentions
  • Participate in the annual property and casualty renewal process by working with brokers and internal clients to ensure accurate exposure data

Claims Support
  • Assist with insurance claims management processes
  • Coordinate with third-party administrators, insurers, legal teams, and internal claims staff on claim matters
  • Help maintain formalized claims service standards

Communication & Reporting
  • Provide consultation and technical advice on insurance and risk management issues to management
  • Prepare reports and documentation for departmental leadership
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Law, Business, or equivalent experience, Required
  • 2-4 years of experience in risk management or insurance, Required
  • Risk Management Designation (ARM, CPCU), Preferred
