Job description

Tri-City Group is hiring for a Compliance and Claims Assistant for an immediate opening in Davenport, IA. This position is responsible for administrative support and documentation related to company compliance and claims.
Essential Functions
  • Assist with the intake, tracking, and documentation of employee-related claims and compliance matters
  • Support investigations by gathering information, maintaining records, and coordinating documentation under the direction of HR or Risk Management leadership
  • Assist with FMLA administration, including paperwork preparation, tracking leave usage, and maintaining records
  • Maintain accurate and confidential files related to claims, investigations, audits, and compliance reporting
  • Support the review and periodic updating of HR policies, procedures, and postings to ensure compliance
  • Assist with ensuring labor law posters and required notices are posted accurately at offices and jobsites
  • Help prepare reports and summaries related to claims activity, compliance trends, and risk areas
  • Coordinate documentation and information requests related to legal inquiries or audits
  • Assist with safety pre-qualifications and project-specific compliance documentation
  • Support payroll and operations with compliance-related reporting as assigned (e.g., certified payrolls, job-specific documentation)
  • Coordinate communications with internal departments, unions, and external partners as directed
  • Provide administrative backup to HR and Risk staff as needed
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics of workers' compensation claims by communicating with all parties involved
  • Assist with managing unemployment insurance claims by reviewing and responding to claim notices in online systems, participating in necessary hearings, tracking outcomes, and updating records as needed
  • Coordinate with insurance brokers to obtain COI's and assist with submission to customers and/or third-party systems
  • Track and compile the monthly/quarterly/yearly required compliance data
  • Support the HR, risk/legal, and safety teams with various daily items as needed
  • Assist with billing and processing of claims

Required Education and Experience:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM -5:00 PM. Occasional changes to the work schedule may be required as job duties demand.
