Summary:
Diagnose and treat cancer in adults using chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biological therapy, and targeted therapy. Medical oncologist works in collaboration with the supportive care team and may coordinate treatment given by other specialists. Hematology includes diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders

Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Hematology/Oncology Hospitalist trained physician to join our established practice in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. We're all about well-being, starting with yours. We offer a nationally competitive salary with relocation allowance available, CME allowance and fully paid malpractice insurance.
Practice Highlights:
  • Inpatient Rounding providing consultative care
  • No nights, No weekends
  • Collaborate with Hematology/Oncology care team while managing inpatient services

Responsibilities:
In alignment with NCCN guidelines, order and oversee diagnostic testing; prescribe treatment and supportive medications; collaborate with the care team to include palliative care, psychology, social work, PT, OT, Speech, dietician, nursing, research to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Oversee care provided by Advanced Practice Clinicians, as required by provider licensure. Participate in process improvement which drives standard of care across the continuum. Participation in tumor board(s) is required.
