Description:

Riggs Power Systems is hiring a PM Power Systems Field Technician to support customers in the Northwest Arkansas area. This field-based role focuses on preventive maintenance, inspections, and light repairs on power generation equipment including diesel and gas engines, generators, and electrical systems.


The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of experience working with power systems or large engines and is committed to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality service in the field.


Minimum pay starts at $30/hour, with highly competitive pay commensurate with experience.


What You’ll Do

  • Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service on power generation equipment
  • Complete inspections, fluid sampling, and basic diagnostics on engines and generators
  • Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues using schematics and service tools
  • Support minor repairs and component replacements on diesel and gas engines
  • Conduct load bank testing and ensure equipment performance standards are met
  • Maintain accurate service reports and communicate effectively with team members and customers
  • Follow all safety procedures and company standards in the field
  • Represent Riggs Power Systems professionally while providing excellent customer service
  • Support customers throughout the Texarkana region and surrounding areas
Requirements:

What You Bring

  • 2–5 years of experience working with diesel or gas engines, generators, or power systems
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment
  • Familiarity with CAT, Cummins, or similar OEM equipment preferred
  • Ability to read basic schematics and use diagnostic tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work independently in the field
  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 25–50% overnight)
