Job description

1. Communicates with Riggers and others to perform job tasks.
2.

Loads, transports, unloads and assists in selecting cables, ropers, pulleys, winches, blocks and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved.
3. Attaches pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings and gin pole booms, with bolts and clamps.


4. Attaches loads with grappling devices, such as loops, wires, ropes and chain to crane hook.
5.

Relays directions to Crane Operator engaged in hoisting and moving loads to insure safety of workers and materials handles, using land signals, loudspeaker or telephone.
6. Sets up braces and rigs hoisting equipment, using hand tools and power wrenches.


7. Assists in setup, assembly and disassembly of cranes.
8.

Loads, transports and unloads materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
9. Cleans and maintains tools, equipment and work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.


10. Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tools and equipment.
11.

Adheres to all safety procedures.
12. Typically requires at leaswt 6 months of industrial construction experience.
