Job description

Location: Scottsdale Showroom
Department: Retail Operations
Reports To: Retail Store Manager

About the Role

At Lectric eBikes, we believe every customer interaction matters.  As a Service Technician (Retail Service Specialist), you'll combine your passion for customer service with your technical expertise to create an outstanding ownership experience for every rider.

In this role, you'll support customers across all three brands -  Lectric eBikes, Juiced Bikes, and Monarc, helping them find the right bike, educating them on products and maintenance, and performing expert diagnostics and repairs.  Whether you're assisting a customer on the showroom floor, completing a safety inspection, or troubleshooting an electrical issue, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional service from first ride to long-term ownership.

What You'll DoCustomer Service & Sales
  • Welcome customers and provide a first-class showroom experience.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and test rides across all three brands.

  • Educate customers on bike features, accessories, maintenance, ownership, and rider safety.

  • Listen to customer needs and recommend the right bike, accessories, and solutions.

  • Guide customers through the purchasing process from initial conversation to delivery.

Bike Service & Technical Support
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical bicycle issues.

  • Perform bike assembly, inspections, tune-ups, adjustments, and repairs.

  • Complete safety inspections and quality checks on incoming and outgoing bikes.

  • Troubleshoot and repair:

    • Motors

    • Batteries

    • Controllers

    • Displays

    • Wiring and connectors

    • Brakes

    • Drivetrains

    • Wheels and tires

    • Accessories

  • Maintain accurate service records and customer documentation.

  • Schedule and manage service appointments while providing excellent customer communication.

  • Diagnose, process, and repair warranty and RMA bikes.

Showroom Operations
  • Keep the showroom clean, organized, and customer ready.

  • Prepare inventory and assemble new bikes.

  • Maintain demo bikes in excellent operating condition.

  • Assist with company events, community rides, and promotional activities.

What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a bicycle, powersports, automotive, or technical service environment.

  • Experience diagnosing mechanical and/or electrical systems.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to explain technical information in a clear, customer-friendly manner.

  • Comfortable recommending products and solutions that best meet customer needs.

  • Ability to lift and move bikes and equipment weighing 50+ pounds.

Bonus Points For
  • Experience servicing eBikes.

  • Experience with Bosch, Shimano, Bafang, or similar drive systems.

  • Bicycle mechanic certification.

  • Retail sales experience.
