Job description

Summary: Responsible for radiographic examination utilizing diagnostic radiographic equipment. Provides direct patient care to patients of all ages. Performs supervisory duties within the department and is responsible for directing departmental activities, technologist staff and ancillary personnel to include scheduling and evaluating employees. Monitors operating expenses, including salaries and capital expense items. Maintains established standards of quality assurance. Assists Administrative Director of Radiology in developing, justifying and maintaining a fiscal budget.

Education: A.S. in Radiography or Diploma in Radiography from an AMA approved school.

Licensure: ARRT RI State License. CPR required.

Experience: 3 yearsโ€™ experience managing radiology staff to include scheduling, recruiting, interviewing and training. Proficient in routine & special radiology procedures

Skills and Abilities:

ยท Ability to recognize priorities and deal with them promptly

ยท Maintain all equipment and monitoring according to Federal, RI Department of Health

ยท Radiation Standards and JCAHO

ยท Works with radiation physicist to ensure optimum performance of radiographic equipment

ยท Maintain adequate inventory of all routine stock supplies and determine inventory levels.
