Job description

This role is part-time in our Georgia Office working two days a week.

Job Overview:
The Nurse Sonographer works under the direction of the medical providers and performs general gynecology and limited obstetrical sonography services.
Responsibilities:
• Perform general gynecology and limited OB ultrasounds
• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment
• Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information prior to patient's arrival
• Communicate appropriately and effectively with the patient during the ultrasound
• Thoroughly and efficiently document the ultrasound visit, including any limitations
• Present ultrasound images and findings to the medical team in a timely manner
• Communicate effectively with medical providers and other staff in a timely manner
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy as outlined by privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA)
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
• Other job duties as assigned which may include clinical duties not related to ultrasounds.
On the job training will be provided for RNs without prior sonography experience or training.
Qualifications
• Align with the mission of RHM, which recognizes that all persons have dignity from the moment of conception until natural death
• RDMS (registered diagnostic medical sonographer) or similar credentials. Will also consider training for Registered Nurses.
• Ability to prioritize and efficiently manage tasks within a fast-paced working environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Intermediate computer and software skills
• Ability to learn new software, including Athena and RingCentral
• Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA
• Working knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
