BIM Modeler
Help Build the Future of Construction
Location: El Dorado Hills, CA
At Roebbelen Contracting, we don't just build projects. We build schools, communities, and careers.
We're looking for a BIM Modeler who is excited about the intersection of technology and construction. Whether you're a recent graduate, have completed BIM coursework, or have some hands-on Revit experience, this is an opportunity to work alongside experienced construction technology professionals and contribute to high-profile commercial and K-12 projects throughout California.
If you enjoy solving problems, working in 3D, collaborating with project teams, and seeing your work come to life in the field, we'd like to meet you.
What You'll Do
As part of our Digital Project Delivery & Collaboration team, you'll help transform design information into coordinated, constructible models that support successful project delivery.
You'll have opportunities to:
  • Develop and maintain BIM models using Revit
  • Create and update model content from drawings, sketches, and markups
  • Support model coordination and clash detection efforts
  • Participate in coordination meetings with project teams and trade partners
  • Manage models and documentation within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • Generate drawings, schedules, quantity takeoffs, and layout information
  • Assist with field-focused BIM applications including prefabrication and layout workflows
  • Learn how digital construction supports project planning, sequencing, quality, and execution
  • Work closely with Project Management, Field Operations, Preconstruction, PreFabrication, and the Self Perform teams

Why This Role Is Different
At Roebbelen, Construction Technology isn't a standalone function, it is built directly into how we plan and build our projects.
You'll gain exposure to:
  • Real-world construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Industry-leading technology including Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Revizto
  • Collaboration with field operations and project leadership
  • Model-based coordination and constructability reviews
  • Emerging digital construction workflows that are shaping the future of the industry

Most importantly, you'll have a clear path for growth within the organization.
What We're Looking For
You might be a great fit if you have:
  • An associates or bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, Drafting, Construction Technology, or a related field
  • Basic experience with Autodesk Revit
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A desire to learn construction means and methods
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a continuous learning mindset

Bonus Points For
  • BIM, CAD, VDC, or construction technology coursework
  • Internship experience in construction, architecture, or engineering
  • Exposure to Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • Experience with Revizto or Navisworks
  • Interest in prefabrication, field layout, or construction technology

What Success Looks Like
In your first year, you'll:
  • Become proficient in our BIM standards and workflows
  • Contribute to active project coordination efforts
  • Develop stronger construction knowledge and drawing interpretation skills
  • Build relationships with project teams and field personnel
  • Grow your technical expertise while helping deliver successful projects
