Senior Structural BIM Technician
Full-Time | Advanced Infrastructure & Waterfront Projects | Senior-Level Technical Role | U.S. Based
We're looking for a Senior Structural BIM Technician who thrives in technically demanding environments and enjoys building highly detailed, multi-disciplinary models that directly shape real-world infrastructure.
In this role, you'll operate as a technical lead, driving the development of high-fidelity 3D models and construction documentation across complex marine and heavy civil projects. You'll work at the intersection of structural engineering, civil design, and digital modeling, using industry-leading Autodesk and Bentley platforms to deliver coordinated, constructible solutions.
What You Will Do
  • Lead the structural modeling of heavy civil and marine infrastructure, ensuring seamless coordination between structural Revit models and civil surface data
  • Transform initial rough designs/sketches and redlines/mark-ups into finished graphics/construction documents
  • Draft detail drawings of marinas, wharfs, bulkhead walls, piers, bridges, ferry terminals, hydraulic structures, structures (steel, concrete, timber & masonry) and shoreline construction (beaches, nourishment, revetments, breakwaters)
  • Review engineering drawings to ensure adherence to established CAD standards
  • Interact and coordinate with all stakeholders (engineers, sampling group, construction, clients, subcontractors, government agencies, etc.)

What You Bring
  • Associate's degree in civil engineering technology (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of advanced CAD/BIM experience in structural and civil environments
  • Deep expertise in:

o Autodesk Revit Structure (complex families, model management)
o AutoCAD & Civil 3D
o Bentley OpenRoads Designer
  • Strong working knowledge of:

o Structural systems, detailing, and construction methods
o Grading, alignments, profiles, surfaces, and quantities
o Multi-disciplinary model coordination and data exchange
  • Preferred Technical Tools:
    • Bentley ProjectWise (data management & collaboration)
    • Bluebeam, Navisworks, Advance Steel
    • 3ds Max, Inventor
