Overview

The technology team offers planning and design services in a wide range of specialty areas including: audiovisual, IT/telecommunications, building security, lighting, healthcare technologies, and architectural acoustics/noise vibration.
The Revit Specialists are valuable members of the team, working in a team environment to produce accurate drawings of architectural elements and low voltage systems as directed by System Designers. The possible career path includes Revit Specialist, Senior Revit Specialist, Assistant Designer, and Systems Designer.
This is a full-time, hybrid position with flexible work hours and full benefits. Candidates are expected to work from NV5's Pittsburgh office 3 - 5 days/week.
Responsibilities
  • Utilize Autodesk Revit to produce high-quality project documentation with accuracy and efficiency
  • Adhere to drafting and engineering design standards, suggesting improvements where applicable
  • Assist in the final assembly and submission of drawing sets
  • Coordinate with Architects and other design team members to ensure that all drafting and related work is completed on a timely basis
  • Manage priorities with various project leaders and with consistent workflow
  • Work independently and in a team environment with project managers and architectural clients
  • Complete project related organizational and administrative duties
  • The successful candidate will be required to stay abreast of emerging CAD/BIM technologies products/services, guidelines, standards and their applicability to potential projects

Qualifications
  • Completion of a certificate/diploma in Computer Aided Drafting from an accredited school, or commensurate experience in Revit drafting
  • Two years full-time experience drafting in a professional environment
  • Expertise in the use of Autodesk Revit MEP or Revit Architecture
  • Expertise in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD is not required, but is preferred
  • Expertise in architectural drafting standards and methodology
  • Working knowledge of Blue Beam Revu
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and MS Word
  • Competency in the use of email, file management, uploading/downloading of files to/from FTP sites and basic computing tasks
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communications with clients
  • Organizational skills and the ability to be flexible
  • Have an ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • The applicant should be a self-starter and be able to work autonomously or within a group
  • Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods of time
  • Prior experience in the drafting and documentation of audiovisual systems, IT/telecom, structured cabling, security systems, lighting systems and/or electrical systems is not required, but is preferred
