Job description

Registration Operations Analyst

The Registration Operations Analyst (Analyst) serves as a critical operational and analytical resource for Overlake's hospital-based front-end registration processes. Acting as an internal liaison between the central Revenue Cycle leadership and Hospital-Based Registration teams, this role ensures consistent workflows, standardized registration procedures, and optimal operational performance throughout hospital registration departments.

The Analyst monitors and assesses the quality and effectiveness of registration across all hospital access points, identifying performance gaps, devising training programs, and delivering targeted education to enhance staff proficiency. This position directly supports reduction in denials linked to registration errors, improvement of point-of-service collections, and advancement of the overall patient experience.

Work assignments demand system-level problem-solving skills, the interpretation of data from diverse sources, and the execution of detailed analyses to inform decision-making. The Analyst operates with minimal supervision, exercising discretion and sound judgment when resolving operational challenges.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year experience using Epic in a hospital or clinic environment is also required.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in hospital-based operations, patient access, or revenue cycle is required.
  • One year experience in developing, coordinating, conducting, and evaluating training programs preferred.

Special Training/Skills: Demonstrated analytical and communication abilities. Familiarity with Availity, One HealthPort, ProviderOne and Waystar is preferred. Knowledge of denial prevention methodologies is also preferred.
