We are currently seeking an Accounting Supervisor. This position will be based out of our Lincoln, NE location. Candidates should expect a fast-paced, growth environment and have experience with multi-site operations. We are making significant investments to transform ourselves into more of a data-driven company and this role will be part of the team responsible for enhancing financial performance management.

Overview

The Accounting Supervisor will report to the Regional Accounting Supervisor of our Fuel Systems and Mobile Pipeline divisions. The position will lead the shared services accounting team responsible for multi-site processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash applications.

The job function and typical work activities include:

  • Day-to-day management of the shared services accounting team of 5 individuals responsible for providing transactional accounting support including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash applications.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Enhance productivity through improved transaction automation and centralization.
  • Ensure proper application of sales/use tax to customer and supplier invoices.
  • Independently organizes and oversees efforts and activities for the team; manage, coach and mentor staff.
  • Proactively identifies and implements policy, process, and system improvements to increase overall efficiency and accuracy while maintaining expected results.
  • Develop and maintain metrics for the teams to monitor and promote continuous improvements in efficiency and quality.
  • Assist with preparations of the yearly external audit.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experiences in related field.
  • 2 - 5 years of demonstrating competency in managing shared service resources.
  • Experienced user of larger ERP systems and financial reporting platforms.
  • Strong business acumen and communications.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Power user of Microsoft Excel.

Professional Skills Qualifications

  • Must be able to work across organization boundaries at all levels of the company to achieve site and corporate objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple jobs and adapt to a rapidly changing work environment with fluctuating priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Highly self-motivated with ability to bring a high-level of energy to work.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment within a plant. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
