Relevant Academy of Eaton CountyWe have multiple .5 positions that can be combined for full time employment or can stay at .5 for those seeking part time employment.
All full time positions at Relevant Academy come with fully paid health insurance premiums (health, dental, vision), 10 days PTO, and FSA and retirement plans with company contributions. The school is year round and teachers are expected to work 220 days, Monday- Thursday on campus, and Friday at home.
.5 Math Teacher
This position is for a part time math teacher. This would be a great opportunity for retired personnel, parents with school aged children, or anyone looking for more flexibility in their schedule. In this position, you would teach 12-13 students at a time that need specific and extensive help with math. This job would run Aug 12, 2024- June 21, 2025. Usual hours would be Monday- Thursday 8:00am- 12:00pm. This position would not work during the summer. This is a part time position that does not offer benefits. Faculty are paid twice monthly on a salary pay schedule.
.5 Reading Specialist
This position is for a part time Reading Specialist. This would be a great opportunity for retired personnel, parents with school aged children, or anyone looking for more flexibility in their schedule. In this role, you would act as a mentor for our Comet Academy Students. Comet Academy is an extension program for the Grand Ledge Public Schools. It provides students an alternative pathway to earn their diploma. Students are mainly virtual, but also are provided a place to work during the day. Mentoring would involve tracking student progress, communicating twice weekly with students and parents, and assisting students with various lessons they may need extra support in. This job would run Aug 12, 2024- June 21, 2025. Usual hours would be Monday- Thursday 8:00am- 12:00pm. This position would not work in the summer. This is a part time position that does not offer benefits. Faculty are paid twice monthly on a salary pay schedule. 60 college credit hours in any field is required for this position
.5 Special Education Director
This role would manage the current SPED department, ensure students are in compliance, cordinate any required testing, cordinate social work appointments, and manage a case of no more than 15. This position must have a masters in special education.
