Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Store Design & Development Specialist to support retail store expansion projects across the U.S. This role will oversee the entire store development process, including space planning, design, construction management, permitting, and post-opening maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail interior design, construction project management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with landlords, city agencies, architects, and consultants to secure approvals and ensure project compliance.

  • Manage multiple store development projects through design, permitting, construction, and post-opening phases.

  • Identify project risks and resolve issues related to design, construction, scheduling, and permitting.

  • Execute store layout and interior design plans based on established brand guidelines.

  • Develop store-specific fixtures, signage, and customized design elements.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on design direction and project execution.

  • Select and manage architects, contractors, and vendors.

  • Oversee construction timelines, budgets, quality control, and safety compliance.

  • Manage store assets and facility systems after store openings.

  • Research and implement construction methods and design solutions for new concepts.

  • Improve fixture and signage production and installation processes.

  • Build and maintain relationships with architects, contractors, and preferred vendors.

  • Coordinate store maintenance, renovations, and upgrade projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Design, or a related field.

  • 6–8+ years of experience in interior design and construction project management.

  • Experience with retail store development projects.

  • Experience working with global brands is highly preferred.

  • Experience in beauty, cosmetics, skincare, lifestyle, or related retail industries is preferred.

  • Experience with flagship, concept, or strategic store projects is a plus.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 30–40% and internationally as needed.

  • Ability to visit active construction sites and work in a construction environment when necessary.

Language Requirements

  • Bilingual in Korean and English preferred.

  • Korean language proficiency may be conversational; full professional fluency is not required.

  • Strong English communication skills required for business operations and project coordination.
