Job Overview
The Senior, Project Management has direct responsibility for administering and implementing all assigned projects. This role coordinates with contracted suppliers and store management to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and at the highest quality. The Senior, Project Management serves as the primary point of contact for the Store Environment teams, disseminating information and facilitating critical project decisions from groundbreaking to grand opening. The emphasis remains on improving the customer shopping experience. This individual adapts to change effectively and consistently champions new initiatives that reduce costs and save time. A strong sense of urgency and the ability to perform well under pressure in a collaborative team environment are essential.
What You Will Do
  • Manage projects and task execution, including oversight of multiple projects and coordination with suppliers
  • Collaborate with store management teams to ensure the completion of all assigned projects, including infrastructure, energy, customer-facing, and environmental initiatives
  • Execute both Store Environment-funded capital projects and those delegated by internal business partners, such as Regional Directors of Stores, Asset Protection, Store Operations, Wedding Gift Registry/My Stylist, Lease Business Office, and Merchant organizations
  • Network and partner with other Macy's Inc. departments, including Stores, Strategic Procurement, Energy, Risk Management, Store Design, Planning, and Capital Control
  • Oversee financial commitments to ensure all projects remain within budget
  • Drive strategic initiatives to develop, refine, and improve project operations management
  • Collaborate with stores, district and regional partners, and suppliers to resolve property damage claims quickly
  • Support the Store Environment team and store organizations to enhance sales growth
  • Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned

Who You Are
  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply
  • This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
    • Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
    • May involve reaching above eye level
    • Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs
  • Able to travel as needed
