Southwestern Services is a general contractor specializing in retail construction, looking for a project coordinator who is energetic and possesses an eagerness to grow as we grow!


Our project coordinators must have a background within the construction industry, solid communication skills and must be comfortable interfacing with clients and the executive management team.


This candidate pays close attention to details and can operate with a sense of urgency while operating with strong organizational skills. The need for strong computer skills and ability to support the project management team throughout the project life cycle (Initiate, Plan, Design, Construct, and Project Close) is necessary.


DUTIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

- Setting up new projects.

- Collecting and contacting subcontractor for bids for each scope

- Issuing change orders to owners/sub-contractors.

- Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations.

- Ability to solve problems in standard situations.

- Requires basic analytical skills.

- Keeping track of budget.

- Provide support to field personnel.

- Issuing and tracking purchase orders for materials, schedule delivery and removal of rental equipment, and prep billings and closeout packages for customers.

- Complete closeout documents; the coordinator must be comfortable making phone calls to subcontractors and customers.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support the project management team throughout the project life cycle (Initiate, Plan, Design, Construct and Project Close)

- Provide support to field personnel

- Issuing and tracking purchase orders for materials, schedule delivery and removal of rental equipment, and prep billings and closeout packages for customer

- Microsoft Office and Procore experience is a requirement.

- Pass a criminal history background check including a social security number verification.

- Pass a drug test.

- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States (I-9)

- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- Previous construction experience preferred.

- Monday - Friday, in person office hours of 8:00 a.m. โ€“ 5:00 p.m. with overtime as needed
