Klover Architects is seeking and Architectural Project Manager with demonstrated experience leading architectural design and construction documentation projects from concept through construction administration.

The Project Manager is responsible for exercising independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and use of standard technique. This position takes an active role in directing and processing work for daily activities accurately and efficiently through the company systems (Auto Cad | Revit | Microsoft Office Suites).
Primary Responsibilities
  • Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Leadership Team
  • Leads team in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems
  • Establish, maintain, and adhere to project budget and schedule.
  • Prepares client presentations and presents design concepts and drawings
  • Ensures that construction detail documentation conforms to quality assurance, quality control and Klover best practice standards
  • Assures Klover document standards are met and archives documents appropriately
  • Sets up project team software parameters and manages standards
  • Communicates with client representatives to verify design requirements and specifications, progress reviews and delivery of final presentation.
  • Mentors and directs the work of less experienced staff and professionals.
  • Assist reporting staff to use resource materials including: Code books, architectural design practices, mathematics, building materials, and/or general construction technology to complete drawings.
  • Assures the overall strategy for producing documents and organizing date is filled. This includes incorporating elements in the Building Information Model (BIM) or other 3D Model
  • Communicates with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary
  • Coordinates use and tracks shared electronic documentation and files with project team, clients and consultants.
  • Assists in planning and conducting work making minor adaptations and modifications to complete working drawing set(s)
  • Review the quality of your own work and others. Utilize checklist and/or research documents to support your methods and practices. Review drawings to and correct any errors/omissions prior to submittal to Studio Director and/or Principle(s)
  • Review projects to assure that the current set of designs reflect the latest changes
  • Review the Contract and know the scope of work to be completed. Keep Principle(s), Studio Director abreast of when you or your staff have been requested to perform additional services
  • Writes reports and memos to consultants and vendors to issue changes and track resolutions
  • Attends on-site visits, field reviews and project meetings and may prepare and coordinate the review of contractor's schedules, submission of shop drawings and samples
  • Participates in team meetings to help resolve project issues, coordination with other disciplines, schedule adherence, technical issues
  • Prepares meeting minutes of consultant coordination meetings
  • Takes an active role in the billing procedures including: knowledge of what phase of the project(s) are complete and matching the billing, structure to that phase and taking a proactive approach to any problems that may delay billing prior to billing submittal
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Skills You Need to Bring With You
From a technical perspective, our ideal candidate will bring the following skills & experience with them:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture required
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years related experience in architecture and project management
  • Architectural registration preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness
  • Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems
  • Advanced knowledge of building codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate into technical documents
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines
  • Motivated, self-directed, problem solver and ability to work in both individual and team settings
  • Less than 10 percent travel to local construction sites
