Job description

  • JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for overall leadership, operations and performance of multidisciplinary outpatient Autism and Neurodiversity Wellness Center. This role oversees both insurance based clinical services – including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy as well as self-pay retail programs and wellness services. The Manager ensures high quality client centered, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and sustainable growth across all service lines while fostering an inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming environment for clients, families, and staff.

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

OPERATIONAL LEADERSHIP

    • Oversee day-to-day operations of outpatient center ensuring efficient scheduling, staffing, and service delivery.
    • Develop and implement systems to optimize patient flow, service utilization, and client experience.
    • Monitor key performance indicators including caseload, revenue, payer mix, and program participation.
    • Ensure seamless integration of clinical insurance based and retail services.

COMPLIANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT

    • Ensure compliance with HIPAA. OSHA and all applicable state and federal regulations.
    • Maintain proper documentation, standards, and audit readiness.
    • Implement policies and procedures to ensure safety and quality of care.

CLIENT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

    • Ensure exceptional client and family experiences across all services.
    • Address concerns, resolve issues and maintain high satisfaction levels.
    • Build partnerships with community organizations, schools, and referral sources.
    • Representing the center in outreach, marketing, and community events.

TEAM LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT

    • Recruit, hire, onboard and supervise multidisciplinary staff.
    • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and mission -driven team culture.
    • Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development opportunities.
    • Ensure appropriate staffing ratios and productivity expectations.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

    • Manage center budget, including revenue cycle oversight for insurance-based service.
    • Partner with billing department to ensure accurate documentation, coding, reimbursement, and denial management.
    • Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost control and revenue growth.
    • Develop strategies to diversify revenue streams across clinical and retail services.

RETAIL AND WELLNESS PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

    • Oversee development implementation, and growth of self-pay programs (e.g., social skills groups, life skills training, fitness, sensory programs, parent coaching).
    • Drive community engagement and program enrollment.
    • Evaluate program effectiveness, client satisfaction, and financial performance.

CLINICAL PROGRAM OVERSIGHT

    • Supervise PT, OT, SLP, Care navigation, Counseling service delivery in collaboration with inpatient and outpatient program leads.
    • Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and neurodiverse-affirming care models.
    • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, licensure and payer requirements.
    • Support clinical quality improvement initiative and outcome tracking.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a rehabilitation related profession required.

Skills and Abilities

    • Perform multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize related job responsibilities.

    • Skilled at developing presentations and comfortable with public speaking.

Licenses / Certifications

    • Therapy related field PT/OT/ST

Work Experience

    • 3-5 years in direct patient care required and or outpatient practice management.
    • Experience managing, supervising multidisciplinary teams.
    • Experience managing self-pay or retail-based wellness programs.
    • Experience in autism services or pediatric/adult therapy.
