About the job you're considering:
Capgemini is seeking an experienced Solution Architect - Syndigo MDM to lead the design and governance of enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and business-aligned MDM platforms using Syndigo MDM (preferred) or comparable MDM solutions such as Informatica MDM, Stibo, or SAP MDG.
The Solution Architect will drive the end-to-end MDM architecture across Customer, Vendor, Item, and Location domains while ensuring seamless integration, data quality, governance, and analytics capabilities leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies.
Candidates with prior experience in Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Logistics, Supply Chain, or Distribution industries will be highly preferred.
Your Role
  • Design and implement end-to-end Syndigo MDM architecture across Customer, Vendor, Item, and Location domains.
  • Define real-time and batch integration strategies using GCP services including Pub/Sub and related technologies.
  • Architect data quality, cleansing, validation, enrichment, and monitoring frameworks using Dataflow and BigQuery.
  • Define canonical data models, hierarchies, reference data structures, and survivorship rules for enterprise master data.
  • Ensure alignment with data governance, stewardship, compliance, and lifecycle management processes.
  • Define enterprise security standards, role-based access controls, and encryption mechanisms using GCP IAM.
  • Optimize MDM platform scalability, performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership, architectural direction, and best practices to development and delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data stewards, product owners, and integration teams to ensure business alignment.
  • Produce and maintain architecture diagrams, solution blueprints, design documents, and technical specifications.
  • Support MDM strategy, roadmap planning, and modernization initiatives.
  • Drive integration with ERP, CRM, Supply Chain, and downstream operational systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years in Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, or MDM Architecture roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Syndigo MDM / Riversand MDM and other enterprise MDM platforms.
  • Strong expertise in Master Data Management concepts, architecture, governance, and implementation.
  • Experience managing enterprise master data domains:
    • Customer
    • Vendor/Supplier
    • Product/Item
    • Location
  • Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including:
    • Pub/Sub
    • Dataflow
    • BigQuery
    • Cloud Storage
    • IAM
  • Experience designing API-based and event-driven integration architectures.
  • Strong understanding of data quality frameworks, data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment processes.
  • Experience defining governance models, stewardship workflows, and data lifecycle management processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Proven experience creating architecture documents, solution designs, and client-facing presentations.
  • Experience integrating MDM solutions with ERP, CRM, Supply Chain, and Logistics applications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct implementation experience with Syndigo MDM/ Riversand MDM is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Retail, CPG, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Distribution industries.
  • Knowledge of Product Information Management (PIM) and Product Master Data processes.
  • Understanding of cloud-native architecture and microservices-based integrations.
  • Experience leading offshore/onshore delivery teams.
  • GCP certification(s) would be an added advantage.

Nice to Have
  • Logistics or Supply Chain domain experience.
  • Product Data Management and Supplier Data Management expertise.
  • Experience working in global enterprise data transformation programs.
  • Strong client-facing consulting and documentation skills.

Education & Certifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Management, or a related technical field is required.
  • Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Certifications (Preferred)
  • Syndigo MDM Certification is highly preferred.
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer are preferred.
  • TOGAF, Data Management, or Enterprise Architecture certifications are a plus.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$101,000 to 266,000.
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.
It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
