Position Summary
The Billing Analyst performs contract and billing preparations for an engineering team. They coordinate with clients and Project/Program Managers to setup projects, obtain necessary purchase orders, and navigate through the hurdles of billing approvals. They work closely with the accounting team to finalize invoices and assist with completion.
Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities
Project Billing
  • Obtains client purchase orders and sets up projects/phases to match client needs.
  • Performs monthly billing reconciliations.
  • Maintains the project database.
  • Prepares various reports for management such as outstanding accounts receivables and collections.
  • Prepares invoices ensuring contract terms and fee schedules are met.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Client Troubleshooting
  • Troubleshoots billing problems and offers constructive solutions to billing inquires.
  • Contacts clients regarding payments, billing options, account reconciliations, collections, and more.

Required Education, Experience, Licenses & Technical Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred
  • 3 years' relevant experience required
  • Architecture/Engineering/Construction or Professional Services industry experience preferred
  • Experience with Deltek Vision accounting software and Concur preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting functions and processes
  • Ability to multitask
  • Advanced knowledge and ability in the use of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to interact with clients, upper management and project managers
  • Detail oriented with an Accounting background
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
