Job description

Role Overview
The ARGO Retail ATM Developer will have Strong experience with Argo web product; the team expects to leverage more API integrations and move internal integrations toward APIs compared to the traditional desktop customization approach.
Key Responsibilities
  • Expected day-to-day: primarily Argo development, plus a "hybrid" component with API development.
  • Rationale: with Argo web product, the team expects to leverage more API integrations and move internal integrations toward APIs compared to the traditional desktop customization approach.
  • .NET: Argo runs on .NET, but Tom said .NET coding is not a major concern; emphasis is on Argo + API experience (Java + Spring Boot)
  • Argo versions: team is currently on version 11 and planning to leverage/upgrade to version 12; candidates with v11 experience are acceptable.
  • Database: SQL Server (Tom believed version 2019; noted it's the PNC standard, with upgrades expected in coming years).
  • Messaging: IBM MQ is used; Tom's team passes information through MQ but does not configure it (a separate "run the bank" team handles configuration).
  • API stack: Java, including Spring Boot.
  • Process/tooling: Agile environment using user stories and Jira.
Required Qualifications/Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5- 6 years of experience with ARGO in combination with .NET technologies
  • Strong communication skills were emphasized (meeting-centric culture; need to communicate concisely), plus Argo and API experience.
  • Needs include both technical team interaction and working closely with business partners (daily standups and follow-up meetings).
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (relocation assistance is offered)
