Does retail banking pay well?

Retail banking jobs, including roles like tellers or customer service representatives, typically offer average to below-average salaries compared to other financial sector positions. Compensation can vary based on experience, location, and certifications, with higher pay often associated with managerial or specialized roles.

What is the easiest bank job to get?

Retail ATM positions are generally considered entry-level bank jobs that are relatively easy to obtain, often requiring minimal prior experience and basic customer service skills. These roles may involve operating and maintaining ATMs, handling cash, and assisting customers, with some positions requiring a high school diploma or equivalent. Availability can vary based on location and employer requirements.

What jobs make $3,000 a month without a degree?

Retail ATM jobs typically do not pay $3,000 a month as they often involve entry-level positions with lower wages. However, roles such as sales representatives, delivery drivers, or certain customer service positions in retail or logistics can reach or exceed this income level without requiring a college degree, especially with experience or commissions. Skills in sales, driving, or technical maintenance can help achieve higher earnings in these fields.

While both roles are involved in the cash and ATM industry, Retail Atm technicians focus on installing, maintaining, and repairing ATMs at retail locations. Cash Processors handle the logistics of cash movement, counting, and processing in warehouses or distribution centers. The roles differ in work environment and specific skills but are interconnected within the cash handling ecosystem.

What does an ATM technician do?

An ATM technician installs, maintains, and repairs automated teller machines to ensure they operate correctly and securely. They troubleshoot technical issues, perform routine inspections, and may update software or hardware components, often working with specialized tools and following safety protocols.

Job description

Job Summary:
Techstra Solutions is a certified woman-owned management consulting firm specializing in strategy, technology, and implementation services. They are seeking an ARGO Retail ATM Developer who will focus on Argo development and API integrations while collaborating with technical teams and business partners.
Responsibilities:
• Expected day-to-day: primarily Argo development, plus a “hybrid” component with API development.
• Rationale: with Argo web product, the team expects to leverage more API integrations and move internal integrations toward APIs compared to the traditional desktop customization approach.
• .NET: Argo runs on .NET, but Tom said .NET coding is not a major concern; emphasis is on Argo + API experience (Java + Spring Boot)
• Argo versions: team is currently on version 11 and planning to leverage/upgrade to version 12; candidates with v11 experience are acceptable.
• Database: SQL Server (Tom believed version 2019; noted it’s the PNC standard, with upgrades expected in coming years).
• Messaging: IBM MQ is used; Tom’s team passes information through MQ but does not configure it (a separate “run the bank” team handles configuration).
• API stack: Java, including Spring Boot.
• Process/tooling: Agile environment using user stories and Jira.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5- 6 years of experience with ARGO in combination with .NET technologies
• Strong communication skills were emphasized (meeting-centric culture; need to communicate concisely), plus Argo and API experience.
• Needs include both technical team interaction and working closely with business partners (daily standups and follow-up meetings).
Company:
Techstra Solutions is a consulting firm for digital and talent transformation. Founded in 2012, the company is headquartered in Pittsburgh, USA, with a team of 51-200 employees. The company is currently Growth Stage.
