Job Summary
The primary objective of the host is to greet and seat guests in a timely, friendly, and professional manner. You set the tone for a positive dining experience for guests entering the restaurant. Host are responsible for answering the phone, taking to go orders, and booking reservations.
Responsibilities
 

  • Greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner 
  • Moving reservations around to seat servers’ sections evenly trying to follow the rotation when possible 
  • Guiding guests to their table and letting them know who their server will be
  • Keeping Resy up to date with the course each table is on so you can properly plot future reservations
  •  Using the waitlist effectively
  • Checking on the bathrooms during the shift to make sure they are clean and stocked properly
  • Communication with service staff and managers about any issues with tables or guests
  • Answering the phone for reservations, to go orders, guest questions 
  •  Being at the host stand to thank guests for coming and dining and wishing them a good night
