Join Our Team as Host – Be the Warm Welcome That Sets the Tone

About the Position

The host is the first and last point of contact for our guests and plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, well-organized environment. In addition to greeting and seating guests, this role may include support tasks such as assisting servers, managing the flow of service, and communicating effectively with the kitchen and bar teams. Our hosts contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere and help ensure smooth operations throughout service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and manage check-in for reservations and walk-ins using OpenTable or Resy.
  • Monitor the flow of service and seating to maintain efficient table turns.
  • Communicate estimated wait times clearly and manage the waitlist when needed.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming host stand and entrance area.
  • Assist with table resets and occasional guest service tasks as needed.
  • Provide support to the FOH team to ensure exceptional hospitality across all guest touchpoints.

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous experience in hosting or guest services preferred.
  • Comfortable using reservation and waitlist platforms (OpenTable or Resy preferred).
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
  • California Food Handler’s Card required.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
